Baptists believe that only believers in jesus can be baptised therefore would be against infant baptsim as the child is too young to beleive.
- they believe that it removes sin that you have accumlated over your lifetime NOT os.
However catholics and protestsants mainly believe in original sin therefore arguing that the child would need to be baptised as it was born sinful.

Why are infants baptised - To show a dedication to faith, welcomes the baby into the family of God. sprinkling of water symbolises the purifying from sin.
Jesus commanded his disciples to "baptise in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit" - baptism is a Christian duty.
