MMA (Training)
Problem: Due to money problems and area inconveniences, MMA training may not be accessible to some people. There is also a lack of suitable training equipment, that are either too specific and/or too expensive.
Solution (1): Create a sand-filled, soft mannequin in order to act as a body double for user to learn the fundamental methods dynamically and practise realistic techniques, as well as be able to develop their own skills and ideas without the need of others. The sand will weigh down the mannequin, causing the user to develop muscle and burn fat during exercise.
Solution (2): Create a multi-shaped punching bag. Similar to current conventional ones, except will possess branches to allow the user to practise more dynamic striking at different angles. This will also allow the user to increase their flexibility, as well as become more creative when performing their strikes.
Emergencies
Medical Storage
Solution (1): Make a belt with sealable storage pouches to keep medical equipment (asthma pumps, pills, epi-pens) easily accessible by the waist of the user. The pouches are also sealed in order to prevent any contamination to occur on the medical supplies.
Solution (2): Make a bottle with pill storage compartment built into the lid. Main bottle will be similar to current top-selling counterparts, except that the lid will possess a 6-grided storage compartment, meaning it will be able of storing up to 6 different types of pills, which can easily be accessed and swallowed down with water.
Problem: Lack of dynamic storage, as well as easily accessible options of keeping medication available for going out to places e.g. travelling, hiking, jogging etc.
Pets
Chinchillas
Problem: Lack of appropriate toys/ stimulus on the current market - They are very important as chinchillas are highly active and intuitive animals, meaning they require a lot of stimulation to be happy and healthy.
Solution (1): Make a hideaway with a multi-platform frame, included with places of comfort to ensure comfortability, as well as made of a material that is safe for chinchillas to chew.
Solution (2): Make a puzzle cube: A range of levers and switches, which will open doors to areas where the animal can retrieve treats - food motivated, but also a more mind-stimulating activity, and will require them to use behaviours more similar to their wild counterparts.
Outdoor Living
Gardening Tools
Problem: Garden tools' handles come in a wide range of sizes, meaning they can be harder to use for certain people e.g if the handle is too long, it could be too hard to use, or if the handle is too short, it may promote bad posture.
Solution (1): Make a extending rod that can attach to different gardening tools via a range of attachments, to allow the user to set their preferred height when using a specific gardening tool, e.g. hedge trimmers for places they can't reach.
Solution (2): Make a fabric vest the user could wear, which is both comfortable and firm, to both correct, as well as help the user to maintain their posture while gardening. This will be helpful, as it'll prevent serious back/spinal problems occurring later in life.
