Carbon
Global Warming
Global Warming is happening because of the greenhouse effect. A greenhouse takes in heat but does not let it back out.
-
Global Warming is resulting in extreme nature hazards such as flooding and droughts. This is why we need to stop.
Combustion
There are two types of combustion: complete and incomplete. Complete Combustion is when there is a lot of oxygen in the reaction. Incomplete Combustion is when there isn't enough.

Fossil Fuel
A fossil Fuel is made from decomposed animals and plants from millions of years ago. It is a finite energy source.
Unfortunately when you combust fossil fuels it releases Carbon Dioxide wich sticks to our atmosphere. This adds to Global Warming. I t may even be the cause of global warming.
Crude Oil
There are 7 parts of Crude Oil. They are called Kerosene, Diesel, Fuel Oil, Fuel Gas, Residue, Noptha and Gasoline.
A way to split up the parts of Crude Oil is to use Fractional Distillation. This process is done in a column where each part goes out of it at different stages.
Plastics
To make plastics you need polymers. Polymers are made up of long chains of smaller sing molecule monomers.
Plastics make up everthing that you can think of, including your clothes and shoes.
Earth's Atmosphere
Due to global warming the Earth's atmosphere has been clouded over with a large amount of carbon. This is messing with it.
Earth's atmosphere is mostly made up of Nitrogen. It has changed over the years as there used to be no oxygen in our atmosphere.
