        Pulmonary circulation transports blood to the lungs. At the lungs: Oxygen diffuses from the alveoli into the blood. The blood becomes oxygenated and Carbon Dioxide is diffused into the lungs. Pressure is low for optimal diffusion of gases.
      - Systemic circulation transports oxygen and nutrients to extremities (high pressure)
      - specialised cells in the right atrium generate pulse (natural pacemaker)
