Documentary
Film Makers
Michael Moore
Has a participatory style of documentary, he is very involved with his films and interviews a person when filming to allow the audience to actually see the conversation between the two
Moore's films can be very biased / opinionated, he tends to use a lot of satire as he intends to make the audience laugh
his scenes can be scripted at times and he brings an aesthetic approach to his films. A lot of non0diegetic sound is used, along with contrapuntal sound for humour and to create irony.

Longinotto uses 'the voice of God' within her documentaries and uses minimal editing and contact with those participating within the documentary
Longinotto appears to be unbiased and tries to create 'true cinema' by having a fly on the wall style to her films
Longinotto is invisible within her films, she uses very little voice overs and formal interviews, she is the 'eyes' for her audience
