Generally the economy grew across this period with GDP reaching 4.8 in 1986 but then dropped to 1.2 in 1989.
Thatcher's focus is on inflation not unemployment, despite unemployment increasing.
Inflation reached double digits again by 1990, showing that in the long term Thatcher's policies were unsuccessful.
Economic realignment, monetarism, deregulation, privatisation, increases VAT, lowers income tax etc.

Labour party wekanesses
Neil Kinnock labour leader 1983-92. He attempts to reform the labour party but this increases divisions with the radical left of the party (Militant Tendency are a radical group was banned).
Kinnock kicks Derek Hatton out of the labour party for his association with MIlitant Tendency and because he was highly unpopular due to getting Liverpool into lots of debt when protesting Thatcher.
Foot's 1983 labour manifesto was called the 'longest suicide note in history'. With him wanting to remove all of Britain's nuclear weapons and wanting to raise taxes + spending. People don't like that he is very left wing.
