CHINA
In 1980,China introduced the one-child policy due to the faxt that the number of children and family size was increasing and damaging the economy.It ended in 2016 after 36 years.
On the negative side there are concerns about demographic and sex imbalance and the psychological effects for a generation of only children in the cities. The atrocities often associated with the policy, such as female infanticide, occur rarely now.

This did howeer work but there were several complaints,over the years the policy started increasing to 2 and later on the law was abolished and raised.
So what happened to the families that had ver 1 child.Sady it ended int the child or baby either being excecuted or put up for adoption and taken away.Those who had a baby on the way were forced to have an abortion.
The positives about this law were:families were able to live in stable homes and get out of poverty.
Prices in China for food and other raw materials and goods prices were lowered like food.
one-child policy, official program initiated in the late 1970s and early '80s by the central government of China, the purpose of which was to limit the great majority of family units in the country to one child each. The rationale for implementing the policy was to reduce the growth rate of China's enormous population. :
