Foreign policy
Idi Amin (leader of Uganda) is expelling asian people from Uganda. Heath takes a moral stance and accepts 28,000 refugees nearly 1/2 of the total expelled from Uganda.
During the Bangladesh Liberation war the US supported Pakistan whereas Heath supported Bangladesh. THis shows a weakness in the special relationship but also that Britain doesn't just copy the USA.

Bloody sunday: British soldiers fire upon 26 unarmed protesters, killing 14 people. This leads to an increase in IRA terrorism in Britain.
Operation demetrius: the army can break into the homes of those they think could be terrorists. this is used wrongly leading to further social divisions.
