Should Zoos Exist?
History and Background
Zoos are meant to be entertaining, but they are mostly for research.
In the first zoo of the world, animals did not have their own enclosures. The zookeepers would sacrifice crocodiles and hippos; hunters would go to search for animals, which they killed at the zoo.

Hook
"We would consider it cruel to confine a dog permanently in a kennel. Yet we visit zoos where hundreds of wild animals are kept permanently in the equivalent of a kennel." - Virginia Mckenna
Have you ever asked yourself the question, "How are the animals really treated in a zoo?"

Thesis
A zoo is one of the worst places an animal can be because they suffer from stress, many are drugged to stay calm, and many zoos don't replicate an animal's natural habitat well enough.
