CONCLUSIONS
Although there was certainly conflict at times between confident MPs and Elizabeth, be it over religion, economic matters or free speech, Parliament was ultimately obedient to the Royal Prerogative and Elizabeth's aims
A bill needed royal assent to be passed, and Elizabeth needed Parliament to pass her laws and taxes - neither deliberately obstructed the other
