The shock (the pause) amongst the chorus shows tension of unexpected surprise
Effect: It leaves the audience wanting to know what happens next
Chorus built up exciting tension in order to break it with a sad memory
Effect: Makes the audience have sympathy/pity for Henry which was developed by the chorus
Scene 2: Henry kisses the photo of Rosa and chorus reacts
Mood
The chorus set a sad, deep/dark tone/mood by adding more to Henry's moment
Effect: Chorus sends a message to the audience confirming why Henry keeps looking back at this particular photo
Tension of Relationship
Chorus show tension of relationships by feeling the grief with Henry in the scene to make it more powerful and show the relationship there once was with Henry and Rosa that now is Henry and his emotions
