For aquinas even if you are an atheist god made it possible for all human to achieve their ultimate purpose in life by power of reason alone.
Thomas aquinas says that synderesis is the thought process behind making moral decisions, we never purposefully or delibartley pursue evil however sometimes evil happens because of apparent and not real good
Apparent good are good that appear good but in reality do not fit the perfect human and is the reason why humans do things wrong and cause evil

The deontological arguement focuses on actions and intentions rather than outcomes, deon means duty focusing on the intention not the outcome

Primary precepts are the law built into nature , these are understood using reason. These apply to everyone without exception. POWER
Preservation of life, order in society, worship god, educate the young, reproduce
Secondary precepts follow the primary which are practical human rules that govern our daily behaviour

Doctrine of double effect states that it is always wrong to do bad intentionally to bring about good but sometimes right to do good actions despite knowing it will bring about bad consequences
It relys on the intention if the intention if not there then you are not going against primary precepts
