buterfly represents moment of change which go with our topic.
So, I want to draw a moment of pupa about to turn into butterfly.

3 ideas

  1. combination of sculpture and painting: I want to make the pupa as a sculpture to give difference with the other artwork and especially, by making the pupa as a sculpture, the focus the attention of the audience direclty to the main subject which is change (pupa).

I got the idea from both of the artwork I've chosen. Which is the tower of babel and the fallen angel.
tower of babel empasize the focus of the audience by painting the main subject in the center and the enormous size** of the tower.


In fallen angel, Cabanel mimumnize the other object in the background in order to focus audience's attention directly towards the main subject (Lucifer)

  1. making the wing transparent: I will make the wing of the butterfly with the transparency paper. because, transparancy represents directly or clearity and wings of pupa represents the future and choice you(audience) make. The transparecy of the wings represents the importance of the choice you(audience) make.

I got the idea from the teardrop of the lucifer in artwork fallen angel. The reason behind the tear is far more than simularity of color. the teardrop in fallen angel represents lucifer's anger and solt of repetence of the choice he made. In parallel, the transparency of the wings represents the choice you(audience) make. Eventually, the tear drop of lucifer is choice he made afterwards and the trasparecy of the wigs are before making choice.

  1. sperating background into two opposite side. (one side warm, colorful, and bright color combienation and other side with cold, dark, and dull color combienation): I will going to make a background of the pupa. the background will be seprated into 2 parts. the upper part will be the bright part and lower part will be dark part. The reason behind the split of two opposite color is to interpret the results of the choice. “Choice” “Chance” “Change” You must make a “Choice” To take a “Chance” or your life will never “Change”

I got the 2 ideas from the narration of the tower of babel.
Firstly, the artwork tower of babel contains paradoxical intention behind the peaceful vibe in the artwork. At the first glance, the overall vibe of the artwork is peaceful and calm. The man lying down to the prodigious size of field, the boatman, children, woman doing laundry leave calm and comfortable impression. But paradoxically, the collapsing wall, shouting king, ghost in the boat gives us nervious tension.

the technique I want to use

I want to use finger and palm technique for the background's texture. The techniue finger and palm technique is used in The Tower of Babel. Bruegel the elder used this technique to create a unique texture of a dust and sand. So do I want to create smoggy and dusty texture.

I want to make the sculpture of pupa with wire. Because the wires provide their function strength and flow since they are sturdy but flexible.

environmental issues are one of the problem we must aware of it. And I think that we need to be more causious of the pollutions and keep change in order to reduce the pollutions.

polar bear kept it in the plasitic bottle and aksing for help

polar bear capture in the coca cola bottle. because the mascot of coca cola is polar bear

inside the wash basin the polar bear toys, globe, dishes and other elements related to the enviromental issues are drawning in the sink. (the swich of the wash basin must open)

I can add some swirl to express the destroy

the vibe of the artwork should be cold and lonly

I got the idea of the vibe from the fallen angel. In fallen angel, the overall vibe of the artwork is lonly and alienation. And I want to make similar vibe as the fallen angel.

trashes

everything is useless infront of environment. such as authority, money, power etc...

I can add elements like crown to represents authority, power, money

I can draw different type of trash.

I can draw buch of dirty trashes and draw the crown on the top of the trashes.

this will describe useless of power, authority, money if we ignore the seriousness of envirnmoental issues

I got this idea from the style of fallen angel. In fallen angel, Cabanel attain peoples attaintion to the lucifer (in the fallen angel) by placing lucifer in the center and minimunize the objects around him.
