- - - - Very soon two leading figures emerged and established dynasties that could challenge Silla: Kung-ye in the north and Kyon Hwon in the southwest. This period became known as the Later Three Kingdoms Period
        
        Kung-ye declared himself ruler of the Koryo state
        
        Despite initial success, his psychopathic behaviour soon provoked opposition, and he was overthrown by Wang Kon in 918.
        
        In their bid to succeed Silla as unifier of the peninsula, Later Paekche and Kung-ye’s state engaged in numerous battles
        
        According to the scanty records of these confrontations, Kung-ye delegated the execution of most of these campaigns to his young ally, Wang Kon.

        successfully, he was promoted eventually to the highest government position of sijung (supreme chancellor).
        
        In 935 Silla voluntarily transferred its mandate to Wang Kon, with the conquest of Later Paekche in 936 he completed the unification of the Later Three Kingdoms.

    - - All temples have been established by Monk Toson with the principles of geomancy, Toson said " If more temples are established recklessly outside of where I have done divination and decided, then the virtue of the land with become thin and so the dynasty will not last long." and I am greatly worried the future Kings, princes, queens and ministers, while calling them chapels establish more.
        
        At the end of Shilla the monks quarrels and made them, the virtue of the land deteriorated and was made to disappear and the state fell into ruin, do we not have to look out for this?

        The eldest son should succeed to the throne, if he is unworthy the second son and so on
        
        Even though it is customary for the state to be passed onto the legitimate son, Danzhu (Yao's son) was unworthy, so Yao handed the throne to Shun, this was actually for the public good at heart. If the first born son is unworthy, pass the it on to the second son, If the second son is also unworthy pass it on to the one among the brothers who received honour from the people, they will inherit the linage.

        We have always followed Tang but do not do excessively

        our eastern provinces have deeply respected China (Tang)’s customs since ancient times, all the systems for literature and music were adhered and preserved but our country’s climate is different, our character is different, where is the need to follow them to the point of humiliation .
        
        The Kitan are like country of beasts, so the customs are not the same, the language is different, do not emulate their attire and systems.

        The state is founded on geomancy
        Visit Sŏgyŏng four times a year
        
        with the support from the hidden help from the three Han’s mountains and rivers, I attained the dynasty. Sŏgyŏng is favourable with the virtue of water, so it became the root of our country’s veins of the land and is the land that will pass on the dynasty to all generations. Therefore, make a royal visit to four times a year, stay for 100 days to keep the peace.

        Maintain the Yŏndǔng and P’algwan festivals
        
        my greatest hope is in the Yŏndǔng and P’algwan festivals, Yŏndǔng is the serving of buddha, P’algwan is serving the spirits, great five mountains, famous mountains, great rivers, and dragon spirit. If there is a disloyal minister in future generations who suggests changes, suitably please prevent this.
        
        I also vowed in my heart from the beginning, on the day of the event I will not violate the death anniversaries of the kings and queens, and enjoy it together with the lords and vassals. Please act accordingly with suitable respect.

        Rule with fairness and listen to advice
        
        it is a very difficult task for the king to obtain the hearts of the people. If you try to obtain their hearts, the trick is to only follow the advice and stay far away from the slander. If you follow advice, you are a sage king. Lies are like honey but if you do not believe them, the lies will stop by themselves.
