What have I found?
-
No matter the embodiment condition, once a certain avatar is imprinted in the brain as 'Myself', self-popup phenomenon occurs.

Future Works

Research Questions
Hypotheses
-
H1. If the participant chooses their own avatar, the reaction time during visual search task is expected to be shorter compared to the case where the avatar is randomly assigned.
H2. If 'My avatar' is presented as the search target the reaction time will be shorter in all conditions than when 'Friend avatar is presented as the search target'
H3. As the embodiment score increases, the reaction time during visual search task is expected to decrease.
Could self-avatar recognition among a crowd in virtual reality occur as quickly as possible as in reality?
