Digestion and Excretion
The Digestive System
Absorption
Food moves into the small intestine, gets turned into soup, and travels through. Bile, which is created from the liver, is mixed with enzymes to break down the food.
Excretion

The Excretory System
Lungs removes carbon dioxide and excess water when you breathe, and salt from your skin when you sweat.
The liver removes waste from the blood. When the liver breaks down protein, urea is formed. Urea can be toxic when it is in the body, so it is turned into urine. The urine is then stored in a flexible sac, called the bladder. The urine is then removed from the body through a tube called the urethra.
The Rectum stores feces, which is mixed with other food products not absorbed by the small intestines.
