Light reading.
this is when a person is interested in reading about a specific topic.
this works best when a person just wants to relax and not think about the real world.
by doing this you are not concentrating too much and focus on juts grasping meaning.
Study reading.
study reading can be used to improve your intellectual knowledge.
you should approach each texts with the intention to understand what you arereading.
evaluating the quality of evidence to decide whether an argument is logical or supported.
Intensive reading.
this technique significantly execcises your comprehensive and vocabulary while reading.
this skills best practiced when its been led by by a lecturer or practicing and can be practiced best on your own tie.
this refers to comprehensive reading over a long period of time.
Scanning.
by doing this you just looking at the information that will be sufficient for you.
in this strategy you are looking for key words or symbols.
this isn't a very thorough strategy and should be used when necessary
you should just run your eyes through he information to see it is was you are looking for
Skimming.
this is used to just find the main idea of a pice of information.
you are going to need to know what is your topic and what exactly are you looking for.
this involves looking at the begin of each sentence to see if its relating to the topic.
a technique that can be used is the THIEVES technique.
