Gospels and doctrines
original sin: Original sin is an Augustine Christian doctrine that says that everyone is born sinful. This means that they are born with a built-in urge to do bad things and to disobey God
Canonical Gospels: The canonical gospels are the first four books of the New Testament. the Christian canon, texts approved—canonized--by general consensus in the church.
Synoptic Gospels – Mark Matthew Luke: The gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke are referred to as the synoptic Gospels because they include many of the same stories, often in a similar sequence and in similar or sometimes identical wording. They stand in contrast to John, whose content is largely distinct.
Mystical Gospel – John: The Gospel of John is different from the other canonical gospels in its overall point of view concerning Jesus Christ and his mission on earth. It is much more cosmological in scale and mystical in nature and has long been considered more esoteric.
Paul of Tarsus: He travelled tens of thousands of miles around the Mediterranean spreading the word of Jesus and it was Paul who came up with the doctrine that would turn Christianity from a small sect of Judaism into a worldwide faith that was open to all.
Gospel of Thomas: The Gospel of Thomas is an early Christian gospel comprising 114 sayings and parables of Jesus organized into a simple list. It has no narrative structure and says virtually nothing about Jesus' life, his death, or his resurrection.
Apostolic succession: Apostolic succession, in Christianity, the teaching that bishops represent a direct, uninterrupted line of continuity from the first Apostles of Jesus Christ.
Reflection: The most important thing that I learned about while making this mind-map was about the different categories of Christianity. Before, I was familiar with them, but I did not know much.
