Women (Brielle)
women gathered at the white house with Eleanor Roosevelt to discus work-relief projects for women over a course of time there were about 204,000 women in the work division of the federal emergency relief administration.
the WPA and the NYA has brought more work relief opportunities for women. the WPA brought about 300,000 to 400,000+ women jobs and there was about 235,000 young women were enrolled in the NYA’s student work program. this brought a totally new deal of work relief for women to about 743,000 at that time.
although there were many women who got into these work relief programs, there are women who were not hired into them as well. but the new deal programs did assist them through the federal surplus commodities.
the new deal swung the doors wide open for some women, for example some women had served in leadership positions in the federal government.

The Wagner Act legalized union monopolies, which were responsible for representing all employees, however many of the larger unions excluded African Americans giving them little representation in the unions

Most of the New Deal spending programs gave money to people in eastern and western states, not giving much to southern ones as FDR already had most of it's support and wouldn't gain him much political ground

The AAA lowered farm production, creating less work for black sharecroppers and farmers
