At the age of 15 she wrote "A history of England": a 34-page parody of historical writing with illustrations drawn by her sister Cassandra.
At the age of 14 she wrote "Love and Friendship": a parody of romantic fiction written as a series of letters.
She was born on 16 December 1775, in Steventon, Hampshire, England
