Roles of interactivity

NAVIGATION
Linear

Non-Linear
Non-linear navigation, also known as branched navigation, allows learners to jump from one section to the next and any desired order
Non-Linear permit's learners to go through the course in any order that they want, allowing them to
skip or review sections
can be problematic because learners often treat such courses as clickthrough
which results in minimal understanding, retention and application of the material
In contrast with non-linear courses, learners have an option to go back and review any section that
they want and therefore increase their retention rate
