        Spend time at first: Sit with him for first few days. Installing IDE and checking out code. He's not feeling lost or overwhelmed
        
        Practicing manager skills below
      - 2) Skill 1: Listen carefully
        
        Say anything complex a few times in different ways
        
        Repeat his questions in different ways and let him correct you
        
        Spend more times on him rather than he goes wrong direction by himself
      - 3) Skill 2: Clearly commnicate
        
        Tell him to do research himself
        
        point him to the documentations
        
        Give him first milestone and leave him work on it for a day or two
      - 4) Skill 3: Adjust to his behavior
        
        Check once a week to provide right adjustments: quick but poor quality/slow but overly perfect/...
    - - 1) Physically: know when he will arrive. Desk? Computer? Acces?
      - 2) Have clear project -- specific but not urgent, which will take up half of the total intern time span
      - 3) Clear expect him to do presentation at the end of the intern
    - - 1) See the company through fresh eyes(from their questions)
      - 2) Onboarding documents
        
        Work thourhg the docs
        
        Help them modify the docs if out-of-date
      - 3) Introduce the new person around the human netwroks
        
        Adopt the midset: network builiding is a worthwhile investment of your time and energy
        
        Know new people and helping them succeed will pay off!
    - - 1) As a mentor: tell your mentee what you expect from hime. And it is ok to say no to be a mentor
      - 2) As a mentee: think about what you want to get out of this relationship
