What do we find out about the drover? How is he presented as being a 'good husband' despite their difficult living
INTRODUCTION
Based on our opinion, the husband is an irresponsible drover who's constantly away from his family.
He is also an ignorant man as he once abandoned his wife and children his wife in hardships and
difficult situation.
The drover also does not play the role of a good husband and father as his wife is the one who carried out The responsibilities of protecting house and children while he was away.**
THREE CHARACTERISTICS
IRRESPONSIBILITY
- When his last two children were born, the drover brought a drunken doctor, by force, to attend to her instead of a sober and professional doctor.
- The drover also left all his responsibilities to his wife until she has no time to show the kids how much she loves them and seems harsh towards them.
- He also ignored his responsibilities around the house and left it to his wife, putting her in difficult situations such as fighting a bush-fire, a flood, a mad bullock and crows and eagles that have designs on her chickens.
IGNORANCE
- One of his children died while he was away and left his wife alone to carry the dead child for nineteen miles to ask for assistance.
- The drover once abandoned his wife and kids for 18 months t o go droving and left his brother to give provisions to the family instead.
- The drover also abandoned his wife too often to a point where his wife got used to it and feel strange not being alone.

-All in all, this story shows that responsibilities towards other family members are important as it could give bad impact towards them when it is ignored.
-For example, when the drover left his house for six month, her wife need to play two roles in one time in her daily life including playing a role as a mother to her children and playing a role as a farmer for their livings
.
-Due to this situation that she face everyday, this can make her feel mentally exhausted with her life.
