Energy and nutrients
Energy is needed for maintaining the body's essential functions, enabling physical activity and movement and allowing for growth and repair of tissues.
Things that affect the amount of energy that person needs include: gender, physical activity levels, age and illnesses
Energy balance is essentially determining if your losing, gaining or maintaining weight.
The way to find out your energy balance is to see if you are having a higher energy expenditure or consumption.

Macronutrients
Protein
Protein is needed for growth, repairing body cells, to produce enzymes and hormones and also to provide a second source of energy.
The best sources of protein come from foods like chicken, meat, fish, eggs and dairy products.
Proteins are made up of amino acids so when two LBV proteins are eaten together they make a HBV meal.
Carbohydrates

We need carbs for energy, fibre and to enhance protien.
Sources of carbohydrates include things like bread, pasta, cereal, rice an potatoes.
