Book Project: Reading and Writing
Targeted Participants
University Students: English Education Department; first to second year
Big Theme
Expanding the mainstream: Enhancing academic and creative writing through your surroundings.
Wild Adventures: Discovering Human History and Civilization
Rationale
Looking back on our experiences in reading and writing classes, we found the activities were helpful yet not engaging enough. The activities were limited to reading techniques (scanning & skimming) and comprehension questions.
Therefore, this book will cover not only the reading techniques but also English skills and language competences (vocabulary and grammar)
Notes from Pak Kus
Try to involve environment-related topics
Don't emphasize the grammar
