Application to encourage students to submit homework daily
Analysis Phase
The target audience was identified as high school students, between the ages of 15-18.
Through interviews or questionnaires, we collected the problems that teachers encountered in the teaching process. After the survey, it was found that the biggest problem faced by teachers is that students always forget or submit their homework late. This was used to identify goals and find a solution to remind students to complete their homework on time and to improve the number of students submitting their homework.
After the problem was discovered, a questionnaire was developed to collect the reasons why students forgot or submitted their assignments late. After the survey, we found that some students forgot that the teacher assigned the homework, and some students remembered the homework but did not know when to submit it.
After analysis, in order to increase the number of students submitting assignments, it was necessary to design an application that would help the teacher to remind the students that the teacher had assigned the assignment and the due date for the assignment.
Design phase
Based on the information obtained during the analysis phase, begin to develop a plan for developing an application that encourages students to turn in their homework daily.
Visualize the interface of the application, for example, the interface includes the teacher interface and the student interface. When entering the application, students and teachers can choose their interface.
Design the interface of the teacher application with features such as buttons for posting assignments, dates for submitting assignments, available classes, an assignment evaluation system, and a system for recording the number of students submitting assignments.
Design the interface of the student application, such as the name of the assignment, the format for submitting assignments, and the date of submission.
Whenever a teacher assigns an assignment on the app, the teacher can inform the students by sending a link.
The teacher can watch the number of students submitting assignments through the backend of the application.
We also have to make the instructions to use the application.
To sum up, the design phase is to design all the instructions for the application.
Development phase
We need to create applications that encourage students to turn in their homework daily.
We need to complete the teacher interface and the student interface and complete the various functions needed for the interface.
We need to write instructions for use.
Implementation phase
Recommend schools use the Daily Assignment Turn-In app to check students' completion of assignments.
Provide teachers and students with detailed information on how to use the Daily Assignment App and detail each of the app's features.
Implement the app in the school.
Evaluation Phase
Collect feedback from teachers and parents on the app by checking the number of assignments submitted by students in the backend of the app, through questionnaires or interviews.
Based on the data obtained from the above feedback, the application will be modified to better facilitate students to complete their assignments.
Collect feedback from students, teachers, and parents to determine if the app is effective in facilitating timely student submission of assignments.
