- stagnation: tourist numbers reaches peak, widely developed, facilities aging, organised tourism
- Rejuvenation or decline: tourist number rises again, new facilities, national/international investments, refurbishment OR lower numbers of tourism, some facilities taken over by locals, increasingly local control,
Types of tourism

Eco tourism: sustainable tourism where the tourists take part in actions that protects the enviroment and learns about the local culture
