ROLE
- Keep all areas of law under review and producing a systematic system of reform
- Lord Chancellor or other governing bodies may refer topics to it, or it may choose a topic of its own after government approval
REPEAL
- Identifying old acts that are no longer in use is parliament can repeal these acts.
- By 2009 over 2000 old acts had been repealed
REVISION ACTIVITY
The criminal justice and courts ACT 2015 is a good example of an ACT coming about as a result of law commission proposals
I do agree withe the provision as it is about how offenders are dealt with before and after convictions to create offenses involving ill-treatment or wilful neglect by a person/ introduce new offences
