Chronic Myeloid Leukemia
it is
a type of blood cancer, arising from abnormal growth of myeloid progenitor cells in the bone marrow.
pathophysiology
Involves a genetic abnormality called the Philadelphia Chromosome. It results from a reciprocal translocation between chromosomes 9 and 22.
