Journeyman (Oficial)

Lived in the house above the workshop

Master Craftsman (Maestro)

He/she made his first masterpiece

He/she is allowed to open a workshop

What is a guild?

Freedom in the guilds

At that time, there was not free competition

At that time, in the guilds there wasn´t freedom of work

Why?

Because if you didn´t belonged to a guild you weren´t allowed to trade/job

You were not allowed to open up a shop

Why?

Because all shop of the same guild would have the same price

The artisans in cities organise themselves into guids (Each guild is specialized in the making of "x" things)

All the shops of the same guild will be on the same street. So the name of the street normaly will have the name of the things that they build. Example: Calle Botoneras in La Plaza Mayor

There is only 1 guild per city

Each Guild has a patron. Example:
Patron of the doctors: San Cosme and SanDamian
