gallstones (small stones, usually made of cholesterol, that form in the gallbladder, if it becomes trapped in opening inside gallbladder it can cause intense abdominal pain)

high blood pressure (hypertension) (force of blood pushing against walls of arteries as heart pumps is higher than the recommended level)
DIETARY GUIDELINES

CAUSES
incorrect energy balance: when energy intake is greater than energy output, excess energy is stored as fat (sedentary lifestyles, processed foods and increased portions can cause this)
poor food choices: excessive amounts of foods high in sugar and fat causing energy imbalance, may be due to lack of education
hormonal imbalance: thyroid hormones influence metabolism, inadequate levels cause a person's BMR to drop leading to weight gain
medication: steroids, antidepressants, anti-seizure, and diabetes medications
emotional / psychological issues: depression, low self-esteem and stress can lead to people turning to food for comfort

TREATMENT OF OBESITY
increase daily exercise (one hour in children and teenagers and 30mins for older teenagers, adults and older people)
balanced, low-calorie diet
