Season 9 Episode 17 - In this episode, Ted tells Robin that he contacted all his exes to try and find her special locket for her wedding. When he meets up with his ex Jeanette, she calls him crazy for doing so much for someone who is getting married. Ted proceeded to yell at her saying the following: “If you’re looking for the word that means caring for someone beyond all rationality and wanting them to have everything they want no matter how much it destroys you, it’s love. And when you love someone, you just don’t stop. Ever. Even when people roll their eyes, or call you crazy, even then, especially then." This is a form of nonphysical aggression as Ted is yelling at her.
