Learning Behaviour and Its Types in Animals
Modification of behaviour through experience is called a Learning Behaviour.
History: Robert Mills Gagne was an American educational and Psychologist between best known for condition of behaviour.
DEFINATION:
History: Konrad Lorenz in 1930s he discovered that newly hatched duckling would follow the first moving object and consider like that are their parent.
TYPES OF LEARNING BEHAVIOUR IN ANIMALS;
Imprinting ,Habituation, Insight Classical, Operant, Latent learning behaviour.,
IMPRINTING BEHAVIOUR
Animal forms an association with other animal or object in the enviroment during sensitive period of development is known as Imprinting behaviour.
Defination:
Example: Duckling ,dog baby after hatching show imprinting behaviour.

DEFINATION:
Habituation Is a simple learnded begaviour in which an animal gradually stops responding to a repeated stimulis.
History: Evgeny Sokolov 1960-1963 developed a most influential stimulus model comparator theory of habituation.
Example: SNAIL show habituation.

INSIGHT LEARNING,
History. In 1920s German psyschologist Wolfgang Kohler was studing the behaviour of apes.
Example: sultan Chimpanzee who were kept in a cage with food, some box and stick were present in cage.after a complex thinking he joined to get the food.He used insight to solve similar problems.

Condition reflex Type 2:
Pavolv`s experimant was the first demonestration of classical conditioning.Pavlov was a Russian psysiologist and won a nonel prize in 1904 for his work on dog digestive system .Because his dog sometime salivated in the absence of food or when they saw the assistant who normally brought their food.
Example:DOG
CONDITION REFLEXTYPE1:
Classical Conditioning :
DEF:Irrelevant stimulus and response automatic.
Other Name :ERROR AND TRAILS.(
Complex type of learning than habituation.was studied by B.F Skinner.
Operant Condition:
B.F Skinner exp a operant condition by their performing experiment on rat .
