Chapter 2 analysis.
Lord Wyldon
Brave
Lord Wyldon fought off the hurroks and centaurs all by himself. He saved Prince Liam, Prince Jasson, and Princess Lianne. In the fight, the hurroks raked him. Nealen’s father managed to save the arm, but Wyldon's going to have pain from it all his life.
-
Keladry
Stubborn
Stripping off her travel-stained clothes, she pulled on a yellow linen shift and topped it with her second-best dress, a fawn-brown cotton that looked well against the yellow. She removed her boots and put on white stockings and brown leather slippers.
She is dressing more like a girl in this situation so she can show-off to the other pages that she is a girl just for the purpose of innoying the boys.
Nealan
Rude
When asked for an apology, nealen sarcastically says: “An apology for general insolence, your lordship, or some particular offense?"
When given a punishment and shutted up, nealen then joked on how he could appologise while silent at the same time.
After given another punishment and then told that, for serving the crown, needed to be obedient, nealen then states that he is bad at obeying and inconvenient arguments, like the one he has, springs into his mind and causes him to make them.
This causes wyldon to be further annoyed, and thus increases the punishment once again.
This shows that nealen is not afraid to joke around or even upset people with his words,
Joren
Sarcastic
After saying "I would be pleased to teach the girl all she needs to know of life in the pages' wing." Kel noticed a few of the older pages giggling, allowing kel to think that Joren might be trying to chase her out.
This could mean that Joren, like wyldon, stereotypes that girls should not be trained for fights and, upon seeing kel, attempts to supposedly guide her but actually make her probation harder in a attempt to get her out.
