What is memory
Memory is the faculty of the mind in which data or information is encoded, stored, and retrieved when needed. It encodes information into your memory and stores it over time for the purpose of influencing future actions, and to remeber previous events.
What is emotion?
Emotions are mental states brought on by neurophysiological changes, variously associated with thoughts, feelings, behavioral responses.
What is the definition of effect?
"a change which is a result or consequence of an action or other cause."

Mood congruent memories
Mood congruent memories is information brought on by an individuals' emotion or mood. This means that when someone is experienceing an emotion or in a mood they are more likely to remeber information from a previous time when they were feelin the same emotions or mood.
