Oral Presentations
Design
The minimum font size should be 20 points so everything read by the audience is legible. Have the text be dark against a light background or vice versa.
Keep the bullet points short and sweet. No more than 50 words per slide along side a picture or visual.
Create tables and figures that are clear and easy to understand. Use standard colors and avoid animation.

Preparation
Create notecards to memorize opening sentences. Make sure they are big and readable if placed in the note section on the presentation where the audience can't see.

Format
The presentation should be based on the specific purpose of the study or a specific question. Pinpoint exactly what is coming across through the study.
The first slide should be a short overview of what will be talked about. The slides following that should be an intro/background and the purpose. Other slides can include the findings, and the last slide should be the conclusion and any points that are supportive.
Pick out the most important information and place it on the core slide making sure it's understandable and clear.
Presenting
In person

Speak in simple terms and speak slowly but stay within the time limit. Avoid words such as "hm, uh, ok, and so".
Arrive early for extra time to get comfortable. Bring several copies of the presentation for backups.
Remotely

Be in a well lit and quiet area with the camera at face level. Ask questions to engage the audience.
