The 4 stages of Salvation - Coggle Diagram
The 4 stages of Salvation
Stage 1: Salvation is Promised
Adam and Eve
God's first people
Broke God's two way covenant
Stage 4: Salvation will be completed in us
Salvation
deliverance from sin and its consequences, believed by Christians to be brought about by faith in Christ.
Pilgrim
We are all pilgrims because we are all on a journey to return to God
Jesus’ death accomplished our salvation and set in motion the establishment of the Church to guide us where we belong
We continue and complete this journey
Stage 2: Salvation is accomplished in Jesus
Jesus is crucified
Stage 3: Salvation continues with the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit Guided the Apostles
Established and strengthened the church
Covenant
Two way promise
God made a covenant with His chosen people
Prophets
The prophets guide us
Through the covenant
(Connection) In the First stage of Salvation we talk about covenant. This relates to Adam and Eve's story because they broke God's covenant by eating the apple from the tree of knowledge when God told them not to and in return He would give them dominion over the earth to mankind and life everlasting in return for obedience.
Third stage of salvation began at pentecost
Pentecost is the day on which the Holy Trinity was fully revealed
The paschal mysteries
Passion, death, resurrection, and ascension
We focus on them during Lent and Easter
Debt in the content of salvation
For every sin there is debt to God
Evolution of the Church
The Church as we know it began that day
It spread to new believers as the Apostles and disciples shared teaching and liturgies, lived the Scripture, and spread our faith through Tradition
(Connection) In the third stage of salvation we learn about the evolution of the Church, and the Holy Spirit guided the Apostles to establish and strengthen the church
