Friends
Talking to friends and opening up.
People are able to trust their friends.
Feeling comfortable enough to talk about issues/problems with friends.
Going out/hanging out to relieve stress.

ADVANTAGE :
Friends can be a good resource/output when facing burnout as they can comfort you in situations where you may be struggling.
DISADVANTAGE:
Friends may only be a temporary solution. As being able to confide in your friends and talk about your issues they may not always be there in some scenarios.
Family
Having someone close to talk about issues/problems.
Helps take mind off of things.
Having some weight being taken off your shoulders after talking it out with a family member.
They can provide helpful advice on how to deal with the issue/problem.
ADVANTAGE:
Being able to talk to someone close to you who may have a better experience with the issue/problem, and be able to provide you with constructive and helpful advice.
DISADVANTAGE:
Again you're not addressing the situation face on unless you apply the constructive advice given by that family member on how to deal with the issue/problem.
Mindfulness
A good habit to incorporate into your daily life.
A good way of refocusing.
A time for thinking in the moment in a positive way.
Its calming, and helps relax the mind.
ADVANTAGE:
Allows for a person to reset their mind and rethink their issue/problem, or even just clear their mind so that they are able to start on a blank page.
DISADVANTAGE:
May take some time to reroute back to the main issue/problem. Or may completely avoid the issue/problem by just focusing on clearing your mind to "forget" about the issue/problem.
Sport
Distracts yourself.
A healthy output of releasing stress/relieving stress.
Refreshes the mind.
Having a different area of interest/concentration.
Provides a level of happiness/release of dopamine.
Exercising.
Going to the gym
Going on walks/hikes
ADVANTAGE:
Provides a level of happiness as exercising release the happy hormone "dopamine". It also allows for a healthy output of releasing stress/relieving stress because you're exercising which is a vital component of staying healthy.
DISADVANTAGE:
May not focus on the main issue/problem at hand as playing a sport/exercising is a form of distracting yourself from the issue/problem. This form of distraction can also be quite dangerous in a very rare situation as over exercising can lead to a few mental health disorders.
Going on a run/jog.
Athlete (specific sport).
Sleep
Getting sufficient amount of rest.
Allows your brain to recharge/reset.
Takes things off of your mind.
Peaceful and relaxing.
ADVANTAGE:
Of course getting the sufficient amount of rest and sleep is important and can help relieve some stress and allow for some "peaceful time".
DISADVANTAGE:
Sleep will not solve the root of the problem, and will temporarily relieve stress before having to wake up and face the issue face on.
Social media
Takes mind off of things.
Reduces stress
Allows time for relaxing and

ADVANTAGE:
Really takes your mind off of things and is a form of distracting yourself from the issue/problem.
DISADVANTAGE:
Can be too distracting to the point where you lose your understanding of how to deal with the issue/problem and completely avoiding it.
Other
Watching movies.
Entertainment -> netflix, youtube, etc.
Gaming.
Letting out emotions (e.g; crying).
Reading.
Doing nothing.
Art
Painting.
Listening to music/making music/playing an instrument.
Drawing.
All forms of art can be considered theraputic.
Allows for one's creative side to come out.
Relieves stress.
Creating/making something.
Dance/forms of dance.
ADVANTAGE:
Allows for a person to release stress/relieve stress in a healthy manner. Also can help a person find new hobbies and interests, bringing out their creative side.
DISADVANTAGE:
Does not address the issue/problem face on, instead helps you distract yourself allowing you to recollect yourself from a state of being "burnout" and not wanting to be productive.
