PEER CRUELTY

Process over Results
We have a tendency to favor the sensational and the extremely visible, we want to see the results
-
Human Nature, Happiness and Lumpy Rewards
Hedonic happiness
Happiness depends more on the number of instances of positive feeling than the intensity: good news is good news first, how good matters rather little
It does not pay to aim for one large win, the rewards just have to be frequent, as mother nature has decided
Howevern man has created an environment where little rewards are not seen as great, rather we are dominated by black swans
The Antechamber of Hope
People should love only one book, at most a few, Frindship does not generally need a reason attached to it
Inebriated by Hope
Hope can guide people, turning their lives into one of anticipation for a single event

CONCLUSIONS
Humans need other, for many thing but people tend to forget also for dignity and respect
Small frequent wins are better than large unfrequent wins, mother nature programed us this way (ex: consumption of food), the problem comes from the fact that our society celebrates the large unfrequent wins
-
WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT
-
Why people prefere black swan wins over the small frequent wins? Why are these not celebrated as much anymore
