CHAPTER 5
Negative empiricism
Counting to Three
We have a confirmation bias, two ways of checking, test a given rule in places where it works (directly), or checking in places where it doesnt work (indirectly)
We can find out part of the truth, and look for confirmation as if it will lead to the full trruth
Searching for weakness of hypothesis can lead to more valuable conclusions than by confirmation bias

CONCLUSIONS
Humans seek knowledge that confirms their existing thoughts, leaving room for error
We missunderstand information at times, causing ideas that sound right but do not tell the whole truth
-
Evidence
-
When we believe in something, we look for proof of it in our past and treat it as evidence
Intro
Confirmation can be a dangerous error, we tend to make very trivial and logical errors, unless we concentrate very hard
