Observation: I noticed that the correlation between these two SOL's helped me critical thinking practice as a whole. When summarizing texts from class, that was me thinking in a critical manner which helped me to better understand what the writers goal is and the process of inquiry.

Demonstrate the ability to meet readers' expectations by being adaptive, flexible writers.

Any time that you have written about readers expectations or what the connection between audience and writer. Also any time you have composed in different genres.

Observation: Connecting the two shown here was not immediate. It took me some time to ponder on how they correlate. Moving out of habituated habits and being flexible can aid in new writing discoveries. Seeing this has made me realize that being versatile and stepping outside of your comfort zone can change your writing entirely.
Demonstrate the ability to shift voice, tone, formality, design, medium, and layout to achieve a specific purpose.

Apply the tone, style, organization, graphics, and document design that meets the expectations of the genre.

Observation: Before seeing this connection, I knew that design, tone, and organization played a large role in writing, but I didn't assume that it was for any particular reason other than it just being needed. What I see now through this connection is that it is important for this to be within the writing because it is the way to achieve a purpose and also adhere to the idea of genre.
