Talk with the student.
Get to know what might be the reason.
Show that you care. Build a relationship.
Differentiation
Learning centers
Divide them into small groups and cater to their specific needs.
Preferred learning style
visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners
visual learners: provide textbooks
auditory learners: provide audiobooks
Kinesthetic learners: interactive assignment
Communicate with the parents.
Actively communicate with the parents on the student's progress.
Reassure the student that we're all here to support him/her.
Talk with the school counselors.
Get to know more deeply into what the student might be feeling or experiencing inside or outside of school.
Learning environment
Let the student feel that the classroom is a safe and supportive learning environment.
Set up an area for group discussions.
Have space where students can do their work individually.
Also prepare a quiet space with no distractions.
Find the student's interest area to see what could motivate him/her in class.
