How Formula 1 racing works
DRS
Drag reduction system.
DRS will happen to you if you are under one second behind the car in front.
DRS is a driver controlled device aimed at helping to overtake the car in front and to increase the chances of wheel to wheel racing.
When the driver uses DRS a small flap in the rear wing will open to reduce the levels of drag to help reach top speed of the car.

Pirelli is the official supplier for Formula 1 tires
Formula 1 Tires have 5 main grades. From C0 to C5. The lower the tire number, the longer it takes for the tire to run out. The only downside, the tires dont help the car go faster. The higher the tire number, the faster the tire runs out, but the car will drive quicker.

There are 2 types of "Wet Tires" in F1. The first Grade of Wet Tire is called "Green Intermediate" Which can be used on a wet track with no standing water (puddles etc...). They can also be used on drying surfaces. The second grade of Wet Tires is called "Full Wet Blue" which can disperse impressive quantities of water, found on the track. The only time rain can stop F1 cars is when it rains heavily, which causes visibility issues, leading to stopping the race at certain times.
F1 car Brake Discs are pretty well built, as when the cars brake, they reach up to 1000 degrees Celsius, The same temperature as molten lava. Sometimes when the cars brake, the force is so strong, their tear ducts squirt water into their visor.
