To Kill a Mockingbird Theme Seeds
After The Trial
After The Trial, Judge Taylor Found Tom Robinson Guilty For The Rape Of Mayella Ewell
In Chapter 23 After the Trial, Atticus and Bob Ewell Have Ran into each other at the post office, and an event occurred when Bob Spat in Atticus's Face at the Post Office in Public
"Atticus didn't bat an eye, Just stood there and let Mr. Ewell call him names wild horses could not bring me to repeat."
"Jem, see if you can stand in Bob Ewell's Shoes a minute, I destroyed his last shred of credibility at that trial."
This Situation In the story relates to Community because of how the Community shows Racism and Violence in Maycomb
This Moment Illustrates the Theme Seed because of Situation Bob Ewell and the Community showed Racism
The Trial
the black people having waited for the white people to go upstairs began to come in
theirs not a seat downstairs do you all reckon it'll be alright if you came to the balcony with me?
this demonstrates the themes of isolation and how the black community is separated from the white community
this quote by reverent Sykes demonstrated community and how even though jem and scout are not apart of the black community they are still welcomed
Before the trial
This demonstrates the theme of isolation, because dill is connected with isolation and loneliness when he runs away from his parents because he parents didn't spend time with him or showed him they loved him.
" they do get on a lot better without me, I can't help them any. They aint mean. they buy me everything I want, but its now you've got it go play with it. you've got a roomful of things. I got you that book now go play with it."
"Scout!' I ran to him. Someone had filled our knot hole with cement.
I believe this helps demonstrate the isolation that happened and continues to keep happening to Boo Radley any time he tries to communicate with the outside world. As well as how the community isolates him and anything that could possibly have to do with him even if its innocent.
Part 1
"The doors of the Radley house were closed on weekdays as well as Sundays, and Mr. Radley's boy was not seen again for fifteen years."
After Boo Radley got arrested, Mr. Radley was so angered that he forced Boo to stay "locked up" in the house.
This demonstrates the theme of Isolation, because Boo Radley was forced to be separated, isolated, from the town of Maycomb. The people of Maycomb then saw him as an outcast and created stories about his past, making Boo feel more isolated.
