The Audio Lingual Method
Principles
Learning is based on simple dialogues with basic vocabulary and structures
The contents are learned through mimicry, memorization, seeing, listening and repeating in group or individual form or both
Oral language is more important than written language. The mother tongue is not used, it is always spoken in the language to be learned.
Activities focus on intense and repetitive practices of structures, vocabulary and correct pronunciation

Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) / Communicative approach
Features
Aims to achieve the community efficiency of language students

The main objective is to know how to communicate in specific contexts and situations whit fluency

Natural Method
Features
Teachers never formally teach grammar. Instead, teachers expose students to as many well-formed sentences as possible and give them time to figure the correct forms on their own.
