Hatshepsut's burial
At this point in time (1996), Hatshepsut's mummy had not yet been found.
Thutmose III was responsible for her burial.
Assumed that Thutmose properly buried Hatshepsut. However, there are suggestions that he denied her a proper burial.
Hatshepsut's sarcophagus lid was upturned, potentially suggesting that she may have never been placed in the sarcophagus.
Fragments of Hatshepsuts anthropoid wooden coffin indicate that she accorded a decent burial
The remainder of Hatshepsuts funerary equipment is now lost, although a draughts-board and a 'throne' said to be recovered from Deir el-Bahri cache and presented to the British Museum.
Controversy
There is significant conjecture about the relationship between Thutmose III and Hatshepsut.
It is unknown how Thutmose III felt towards Hatshepsut. Was he resentful towards her for usurping the double crown, or accept the situation happily?
Was Thutmose III frustrated and resentful for usurping the double crown (which should have been his alone)?
