Lesson: Design a lesson that speaks about what makes each animal category different. So in this lesson we will ask our learners what insects, mammals and reptiles are and for them to give an example of each, it's important to recognise what learners already possibly know and work from there. Playing a short video on each animal sub species briefly allows them to gather valuable details which will be needed in the next exercise.(focus on insects, mammals and reptile videos specifically). As the teacher, Cut out a number of animals from insects, reptiles and mammals, make sure there is enough for each table and for each learner, have 3 different bowls, 1 with all the animals listed from the above subspecies, second bowl has warm blooded labels as well as cold blooded labels(colour code them in blue and red to help learners) and the third bowl will have if it lays eggs or gives birth to live young. Have the learners identify 3 different animals of their choice from bowl 1 and then identify if its cold blooded or warm blooded as well as if it lays eggs or gives birth to live young from bowl 2 and 3 respectively, have the learners stick it in their natural science books once they have completed their 3 animal choices, walk around to make sure each learner is on the right track.
