principle
The principle behind bioplastics is to produce plastics that are made from renewable resources and/or that can biodegrade under certain conditions, in order to reduce our reliance on nonrenewable resources and minimize the environmental impact of plastic waste. Bioplastics can be used to make a wide range of products, but their environmental and social impacts must be carefully evaluated.
