After the Crusade tasted the spices and touched the silk because they wanted more so they made the East and West to start leading to formation of new markets. Also, the Europeans started to trade with the Middle East such as buying lemons, spices, sugar and more. This made them want to learn more about Arab art, architecture, medicine, and mathematics which increased their cultural interaction. Therefore, they got more medical knowledge which can increase trading chances and to trade and buy other products that the traders hadn’t seen before.

The Black Death affects the loss of social and economic impacts. Also, it made a big history in Europe such as the victim losing their friends and family and making them leave the city because of the Black Death. There was a 100% chance that you would die if you didn’t take the vaccine. It also made them isolated from the rest of the world.

The black Death has shocked the population in Europe as well. From 1347 and 1352, other cities and countries were also affected and got spared by Black Death such as England, France, Italy and Spain. It is extremely serious because they lost over 50- 60% of the population within two years.

After the Black Death in Europe, they stopped the wars and also affected the trade which suddenly slumps. This also affected the extreme reductions of lands and loss of populations which caused the area reduction.

The city- states in Europe during the middle age is a sovereign city which is independent as well. It serves the political and also cultural life. The authority also includes other cities so that they can create a bigger territorial state/ country. It also has a political, economic and also cultural life as well.


Also, this is a community structure of ancient Greece. Every city- state usually has a city center which is also composed with countryside around them back then. The use of the city- states is to protect the walls, temples and government buildings which is a public space for them to use.


During 13th to 16th it was first started in Italy and then their ideas started spreading in Northern Europe, Renaissance Humanism was connected with the artworks of the Dutch Desiderius which people will create new artistic creations such as adding different elements . For example: painting, sculpture, the literary arts and more. Creators will also use classical and literature mythology as topics for their artworks as references.

Giorgio Vasari had once said “After seeing this no one needs to look at any other sculpture or the work of any other artist,” He thinks that Michelangelo David’s artwork had shown the greatness and importance of human beings in the Renaissance period.

Humanism is a moral philosophy which is from classical antiquity to have had such an influence in terms of art. This also made a big effect in the history of Europe which is also from the middle age. There are also different types of art of humanism such as ages, painters, sculptors, and architects who sought to express their thoughts, ideals about classical Greek and Rome. Their main ideal is to let people understand life and human nature as well. Artists usually get inspiration from nature and humans such as our thoughts or experiences, reason, culture or maybe according to the history back then in the period of time. They will usually learn about the human body and appear in their drawing to express the story behind or their thoughts.

In today’s society, Greco-Roman culture is like a kind of heritage which is also an architecture. This architecture has also accomplished pediments, vaults, and domes. The design is full of artistic sense. Also, the architecture showed a lot of Greek and Roman elements which had a big effect to show the history of Greek features which is very important.

No matter in art, architecture, government, philosophy and more to create Western Civilization they also had accomplished so therefore they built a stable, strong and complicated architecture to let more people from other countries know their culture and history which is very meaningful.

The original source of the Medici family was from the textile trade guide which is called the wool guild of Florence. They are wealthy bankers and they also have three popes. Also, they are also known as the grandfather of Renaissance just because they made the culture in Florence more popular and famous which gave them a basic groundwork. No matter whether they are banking, art and architecture, they still exist until today’s society. They also made a huge history which affected Europe . They are very powerful and attractive.

The most important thing that the Medici family did was their sponsor of the artworks. They will pay the artist for the artworks that the artist made because of their sponsor. This also made a very big effect of the Renaissance which allows them to focus by drawing the artwork without worrying about the money of the artwork because the Medici family will pay them money which a wealthy family will do.

The Midici family was also a loving family that helped the Renaissance by providing funds. They usually ask artists to their palace and their family tomb which is called the Medici Chapel to start creating artwork for their family by Michelangelo. They were wool merchants and bankers which both of them could earn a lot of money back then.Giovanni de Medici started a bank which was called “Medici bank” in Florence. At the same time, he was also the Florence merchant as well.

The idea of having a Renaissance man is from Italy who is a man called Leon Battista Alberti. He had once said “a man can do all things if he will.” He thinks that human beings should try and accept all of the knowledge so that’s how he got this “Renaissance man” idea.

Renaissance man is a type of intellectual philosopher which can show that their high- level knowledge and their personal development. This was also every man’s goal to follow back then at that time. A Renaissance man is a man that has a high knowledge. Whenever they do any kind of task, they are all very skilled. Also, they will be highly educated which shows a gentleman and also cultured in the arts. However, they can do anything effortlessly.

From 14th-17th in Europe, the most famous Renaissance man was Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. Leonardo da Vinci was also known as an artist/ painter. He is also a scientist, an inventor, engineer and also a mathematician. He is the only true Renaissance man who does apply scientific methods in daily lives. Michelangelo was known as a sculptor, painter and more. They were the most famous and the best examples from the Renaissance man.
