•Pale bluish spots on thighs, buttocks and lower abdomen

•Another distinguishing feature is that the second and third pairs of legs are thicker than the front

Diagnostic procedures
Macroscopic-nits and lice
•Can be seen with the naked eye and appear as brown-gray specks attached to the pubic hair base.
Complications
Discolored skin-pale blue spots may develop where pubic lice have been feeding continually.
•Secondary infections-if itchy lice bites cause you to scratch yourself raw, these wounds can become infected.
